In my previous article I offered my thoughts on how to make it as a freelance web designer. One of the things I mentioned was the need for a solid contract and proposal so here I offer my contract and proposal templates, free for your use.

About The Downloads

I'm not sure where the contract came from; I picked it up somewhere over the years, so if you recognize it, please comment and let me know so I can give proper credit.

The proposal, budget, and timeline documents in AI format are all mine and have helped me to land projects ranging from $5k to $200k over the years (no joke). This is good stuff.

Could you provide the sample in other format (pdf or jpg) as I can't open it. I only have AI evaluation version and it's already expired.

@zan: Sure, I'm actually working on a few more sample contracts too.

It may take me a little while, but I'll put together a text-based of the proposal documents as well.

They won't look as nice though ;)

Thanks for these samples! I've downloaded them and now I'm working to craft my own creative service agreement. I'm a visual person so the time line you provided was a great help. Of course, I tweaked it to make it my own. Thanks again!
